Drawing is a practice that—acting as a “sketch” or a form of constant note-taking—allows me to reflect on and structure ideas and thoughts, or record the everyday. A way of considering my body in relation to paper and space: hybrid bodies connected by pipelines and other object-like representations rendered with little to no perspective, expressive strokes, and a restrained use of color. These range from images of faceless figures or bodies with altered proportions to explorations focused on the use of space in relation to other materials. I consider each of my drawings an autonomous work; rather than mere explorations or notations, I conceive of them as independent (self-portrait) pieces.
