A GIANT´S BUCOLIC DREAM, Bucolic Reverie Series 2/10. 1´20´. MPG4. 2025.

In this series of videos, through the editing and appropriation of film sequences associated with oil culture, I investigate the entanglement between Hollywood cinema and petroculture, focusing on how cinematic narratives, visual regimes, and affective economies contribute to the production and normalization of hegemonic models of gender, femininity, masculinity, family, consumption, and domestic life.

In this piece, I appropriate fragments from the film Giant, starring iconic actors, a Hollywood epic about the shift from rural farming family structures to oil technology.
